Football Training, Kolhapur

KSA was organized first time football league in 1940-41 and A ward, B ward, C ward, D ward, E ward this five teams from Kolhapur was participated in it. C ward was first champion in that computation. As well as development of football department KSA started two division as junior and senior in 1957-58.Today KSA have 142 teams and 2857 players has been registered from A, B, C, D, E and Rural these six divisions. League has organized football computation with general, many district, state, national and international with other organizations. Especially KSA was organized Chhatrapati Shahu Gold Cup in 1975-76, 1987-88, 1990-91 and 2004-05.

Grass root training center is working joyfully by KSA with under guidelines of All India Football Federation and cooperation of Western India Football Association. Children below 17 Years getting free training by five grass root trainers of Western India Football Association. Soccer refry examination has been taken first time in 1985-86 by All India Football Federation. Today 120 candidate has been passed out refry examination in Kolhapur District. Refry from Kolhapur district put the name of Kolhapur in top most refry list with their great work in Maharashtra and outside Maharashtra.

All India Football Federation has been taken C and D license Football Coach Certificate course with cooperation of Western India Football Association. Today 4 C license certificates passed and 48 D license certificates passed football coach in district. KSA Kolhapur football team is participate in Maharashtra state between district championship computation in different age group and also keep permanent esteem of the name of Kolhapur with their powerful game. Girls and boys are selected from different age group in Maharashtra state football team of Kolhapur district. Today shri Malojiraje chhatrapati work as vice-president and Shri. Manik Mandlik work as co-secretory on Western India Football Association it is an authorized organization in Maharashtra.
